Day 2 – Keynote Track 4: Power to the people!
Anne Torreggiani is Chief Executive and founder of The Audience Agency (TAA), the national not-for-profit organisation leading the UK cultural sector to develop the size, diversity and quality of engagement of audiences. TAA is a specialist organisation which provides insight, research, consultancy and training based on a unique overview of audiences and effective practice, acting as a hub for collaboration, shared learning and experimentation in audience development.
Anne has a deep understanding of the arts developed through 25 years’ experience in leading roles. She was director of marketing and audiences within a number of progressive UK arts companies (including Stratford East, West Yorkshire Playhouse and LIFT). Anne has also been a consultant, facilitator and adviser for agencies such as Arts Council England, International Street Arts Network, and the European Commission as well as a wide range of cultural organisations such as Tate, Manchester International Festival and the National Theatre.
A specialist in audience strategy, trends and patterns of public engagement, Anne works across all art forms and has special interests in non-traditional audiences, contemporary work and organisational change. An experienced company director and trustee – as well as an accredited Action Learning facilitator – Anne is a regular commentator and speaker, delivering keynotes and workshops all over the world.
